Trust in His Promises

Focus on the WHO, not the HOW

August 20, 2024

Often times when we are humming along, something comes and knocks us right off track. When life hits us off guard, it makes way for FEAR to creep in. Fear of the future. Leaving us wondering HOW are we going to get through this? How are we going to make it?

The goodnews is, the "HOW" is God's job. Don't worry about the HOW. Focus on the WHO. Focus on Jesus. Keep your eyes on him and trust in his promises. Believe in his word. Read accounts in the bible of how he always provided for his people. He is the same yesterday, tomorrow and today. READ - James Chapter 1 - "Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." "he gives generously"

But we must believe and not doubt! Oh but that little word - doubt- so often is crafty and wedges itself inbetween what we are hoping for.

Many of you know, I've had several LIFE changes happen in a short period of time. Actually what experts deem as the "The Top 5 most stressfull life events" (I'd have to agree)

1. Death of a loved one 2. Moving 3. Major injury 4. Job Loss and 5.Divorce.

Lucky me! I hit the jackpot. ALL of them have happened or are happening to me, all within the past two years. It seemed just when I felt I finally had it all under control, something began to unravel. At times I felt like I was playing the arcade game "tapper". You're running around trying to serve everyone else in an effort to prevent a casualty yet, to your surprise you cannot do it all.

Yes, in the natural it may feel that things are falling apart. But KNOW in the supernatural that may just be what was needed in order for your blessing to come to pass.

As Joel Osteen stated, "We serve a supernatural God. He can give water without rain, light without sun, and promotion without people being for you."

Trust in his promises and read his word to know that if he did it before, he can do it again.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus - (Philipians 4:19) I know now why the scriptures say over and over, RENEW your mind. Meditate on his word - day and night. We need to be reminded WHO is in control. God is and he will make a way. He will give us peace and HOPE.

The enemy is after our minds. If doubt can creep in there, we are easy prey.

However this is no surprise to our creator. He goes before us and makes a way.

Fear not for I am with you. (Isaiah 41:10)

Did you know that it says "fear not" 365 times in the bible. A reminder for everyday living. Fear not for I am with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I am the breath of life!

God loves you unconditionally. You are never alone. You are redeemed. God formed you and is directing your steps. The scriptures say that our steps are ordered. You are who the bible says you are. Fearfully and wonderfully made. On purpose for a purpose. (Jeremiah 29:11), "For I know the plans I have for you" says the Lord. "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a future.

If He has called you to give something up or to take a leap of faith; I promise it will be worth it. God works all things for your good. (Romans 8:28)

Reminders to thy self: I can do all things through Christ , who strengthens me. (Philipians 4:13)

If God is for you, who can be against you? (Romans 8:31)

God hears your prayers. Think of all the times you cried out to Jesus and all the times he came thru. This time will be NO different. For he is faithful and his promises are true.

Have childlike faith, trust your heavenly father. (Matthew 19:14)

God WILL provide. He is faithful to keep his promises (Mathew 6:25 -33)

Do Not Worry. "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much mor valuable then they?

Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like on of these. Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.

Prioritizing LOVE over survival.

YOU GOT THIS! Live in the moment and enjoy all that which he provided for you.

Live in Gratitude and appreciation; and more will be given to you.

I don't know HOW but I know WHO and I know his promises are true.

Jehovah - Jireh "The Lord will provide."
