Gratitude

The secret to happiness

Gratitude. What does it truly mean to be grateful? When you feel good for the good things in your life.

Today, I was so grateful that Better Branch - Mike and his team came over to take care of my yard. WIth all the rain and the recent storms it got CRAZY back there. "Welcome to the Jungle" was an understatement. To be honest, as I watched them working on my yard I was choking back tears of joy. I had tried to tackle it all on my own, however I could not keep up. It took 4 grown mean today and 3 hrs to care for the yard with regard to weeding, cutting back bushes and trimming the palm trees. I so appreciated their help and the timeliness of it.

When we relocated to Wesley Chapel, the home we purchased used him and his team. So we were blessed with this inheritance. They have been amazing! They do a fantastic job and he always makes me a priortiy.

Looking back thru my life, many people I have worked with, those who provided me a service of any sort have always seemed to become my friends and made my needs a priority. Dr. Ratio, Dr. Cynthia, Dr. Lisa, Natural and Cosmetic Dentistry and team, Mike and his crew. I feel so loved.

I have always made it a point to make people feel seen and heard. I take a personal interest in everyone I meet. I don't care who you are or what you do, you are special just because you are YOU! I value what knowledge and skills others have and appreciate them and be sure to tell them and show them.

Even accounts I used to do business with while in the beverage industry, they made time for me always and thought of me whenever something cool was going down that they thought I might like to be part of.

Why? Is it something that I'm doing? No. It's God's grace and favor and his hand on my life. He loves his children and wants only the best for them. And that most definatley has proven true for me time and time again.

Really, if I look back on any "position" I held or relationship I have had, God has had a hand in it.

For instance, when we built our home in Plainfield Illinois, meeting our next door neighbors- Joe and Sheryl at the Design Center. When I was trying to get pregnant with Karly, Sheryl and I started walking and running each day together. (It was advised that I meditate and get moving to drop some weight) She was in agreement that God would bless me with the baby girl Karly just as promised in my dream. We'd go out each day together declaring God's promises.

Or the time Pat Nelson, the sales manager of Power Distributing - Red Bull, introducing me to Nate Phippen, the Sales Manager of Wirtz Beverage Group (aka Breakthru Beverage).

About a year and a half prior to that opportunity coming to me, I was driving into our new community and I passed the DIAGEO plant and told David that one day I'd be working for them. I did not even understand who or what they were at that time or how that would be even possible but I KNEW it in my heart. Then, through a of series of events - it happened! I was chosen for the sales consultant position for the ON Premise Team - Regal Division over the DIAGEO Portfolio!!!

Did I make that happen? No, rather my steps were ordered by the Lord and the trip to Mexico that FOREVER changed my life came by way of a sales incentive trip that I had won by one bottle of Jose Cuervo silver. Coincidence?! I think not!! Rather, it was ordained.

God has big plans for you!! You need not have it all figured out. Forget the HOW (that's God's part) Just learn to live in gratitude and the path will be carved out.

Trust and see. Believe in yourself and your dreams.

Whatever is on your heart, has been placed there for a reason. People come in our lives for the same; a reason, season or lifetime. It's okay to let things go. It makes room for the new.

New season. New you! Always live in gratitude.
